Donate a new toy for children affected by Hurricane Sandy, and receive a ticket to the Bronx Zoo 

New York – December 5, 2012– The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park and Queens Zoos will hold ‘Presents to the Animals’ events in December
 
The schedule at Prospect Park Zoo is:
  • Saturdays and Sundays in December, 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
December 8/9: baboons at both times
December 15/16: golden lion tamarins and Pallas’s cats
December 22/23: meerkats and mongoose
December 29/30: Geoffrey’s tamarins and North American river otters
The schedule at the Queens Zoo is:
  • Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 8 – 9 and 15 – 16:
Coyotes: 1 p.m.
Pumas: 2:15 p.m.
Andean bears: 2:45 p.m.

Each zoo will accept new, unwrapped toys for children who live in communities hit by Hurricane Sandy. The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Queens Zoo – Open every day of the year. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors 65 and older, $5 for kids 3-12, free for children under 3. Zoo hours are 10am to 5pm weekdays, and 10am – 5:30pm weekends, April through October, and 10am – 4:30pm daily, November through April.
