NEW YORK (April 1, 2011) – The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo today thanked the public for its support and for the thousands who have offered help to name its Egyptian cobra. The zoo has joined the NY Daily News asking the public for suggestions. The public is invited to submit suggestions at www.bronxzoo.com until Monday, April 4 at 1 p.m. EDT. The submission pool will then be narrowed down to five for public vote, to begin at 3 p.m. EDT, Monday, April 4. The public vote ends at 12:01 a.m. EDT, Wednesday, April 6. The cobra’s name will be announced on Thursday, April 7.
