Bronx, N.Y. – April, 27, 2011 – The third annual Wildlife Conservation Society Run for the Wild 5k run and family fun run/walk takes place this Saturday, April 30 at WCS’s Bronx Zoo. This year’s event is dedicated to helping save penguins, which the Wildlife Conservation Society has been working to protect for more than three decades.
 
The 5k race for individual runners will begin at 8:30 a.m.; casual runners and walkers can take part in the Family Fun Run/Walk at 8:45 a.m.
 
More than 6,500 runners and walkers are registered to participate. On-site registrations will not be accepted as this event is sold out.
