As he photographs and documents alpine flowers, mighty pines, moose, and pine martens, WCS Ecologist Jerry Jenkins has been tracking the impacts of climate change on the largest protected area in the continental U.S.

Author of Climate Change in the Adirondacks and a recipient of awards from the Adirondack Research Consortium, the Adirondack Museum, and other local organizations, Jenkins has spent more than four decades studying this region.

Reporter Lisa Foderaro profiles Jenkins’ work in this story from the New York Times.
