• Festivities include treats for everyone – even the animals

New York, N.Y.-date – The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo are hosting their annual Boo at the Zoo – a family-friendly Halloween extravaganza, all day Saturday, Oct. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 31. Festivities include costumes, arts and crafts, and treats for the animals. The events promise spine-tingling surprises and terrifying thrills for zoo-goers of all ages.

On both days of the Halloween weekend, animals will receive enrichment in the form of pumpkins. The animal keepers at all WCS wildlife parks provide daily enrichment to the animals to help keep them mentally and physically active and healthy. This weekend, guests can watch pumas, baboons, sea lions, bears, and more receive their favorite treats inside a pumpkin.

The Wildlife Conservation Society
The Wildlife Conservation Society saves wildlife and wild places worldwide. We do so through science, global conservation, education and the management of the world's largest system of urban wildlife parks, led by the flagship Bronx Zoo.  Together these activities change attitudes towards nature and help people imagine wildlife and humans living in harmony.  WCS is committed to this mission because it is essential to the integrity of life on Earth.
