The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo will host Autism Awareness Month activities in collaboration with Autism Speak’s nation-wide Zoos Go Blue event on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The event welcomes families affected by autism to enjoy an early opening of the zoo along with visual support materials to prepare for the visit. The day will feature exhibit visits, sensory stations, crafts and other activities.

Tickets are $10, which includes one child with one adult, additional family members are $5.

Zoos Go Blue is an Autism Awareness Month event taking place in several Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA)-accredited across North America.

The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo – $8 for adults, $6 for seniors 65 and older, $5 for kids 3-12, free for children under 3. Zoo hours are 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. weekdays, and to 5:30 P.M. on weekends and holidays, April through October. 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. November through March.
