“Little Hatchlings” is geared towards children ages 10 to 23 months

Flushing, N.Y. ––Dec. 30, 2013 -- The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Queens Zoo has announced registration for its winter/spring 2014 Little Hatchlings program.

Little Hatchlings is an early education program for children ages 10 to 23 months with an adult. The program will provide a fun and engaging introduction to animals, nature, and the environment.

Participants will explore the zoo with their children and learn about animals through songs, arts-and-crafts, and guided visits to animal exhibits designed especially for toddlers. Each session is led by an early childhood education zoo instructor.

Wednesday Winter Series
Dates: Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb. 5, 12, 26, March 5, 12, 19
Session A: 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
OR:
Session B: 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Wednesday Spring Series
Dates: March 26, April 2, 9, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4
Session A: 10:15-11:15am
OR:
Session B: 11:45am-12:45pm

Fees: WCS Members: $250; Non-members: $270 (For classes in one session)

The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Queens Zoo – Open every day of the year. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors 65 and older, $5 for kids 3-12, free for children under 3. Zoo hours are 10am to 5pm weekdays, and 10am – 5:30pm weekends, April through October, and 10am – 4:30pm daily, November through April.
