Preah Vihear (3 April 2018) – Since 2002, WCS, Ministry of Environment (MoE) and community members have protected 3,800 nests of 11 globally threatened bird species, leading to the fledging of 6,806 birds in the Northern Plains of Cambodia.

Three Critically Endangered Red-headed Vulture Nests Discovered  In Cambodia’s Chhep Wildlife Sanctuary
Preah Vihear (29 January 2018) – In January, three nests of the Critically Endangered Red-headed vulture were found in Chhep Wildlife Sanctuary by conservationists from the Ministry of Environment (MoE), Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and local communities. The population of this species in Cambodia is possibly less than 50 individuals. These nest discoveries give hope that conservation efforts may save this species from extinction

First Nest of Critically Endangered Siamese Crocodile Recorded in Sre Ambel River System

Sre Ambel, Koh Kong (28 June 2017) - Conservationists from the Fisheries Administration (FiA), WCS(Wildlife Conservation Society) and local communities have discovered a nest with 19 eggs of the Critically Endangered Siamese crocodile in the Sre Ambel District of  Koh Kong Province in Cambodia. This is the first Siamese crocodile nest recorded in six years of research and protection in the Sre Ambel River System.
