Three Rare Black-Necked Storks Hatch in Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary
Preah Vihear (08 December 2017) – The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and Ministry of Environment (MoE) announced today that after five weeks of active nest protection by community members, three Black-necked stork chicks have hatched in Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary (KPWS) in the Northern Plains of Cambodia, giving hope to the future conservation of this rare species in the country.

Fifty Globally Vulnerable Sarus Crane Chicks Successfully Hatch in Northern Plains of Cambodia
Preah Vihear (October 02, 2017) – Fifty globally Vulnerable sarus crane chicks hatched from 27 nests protected by conservationists of Ministry of Environment, WCS, and local communities in the Northern Plains of Cambodia, giving hope for the conservation of the species.

Hatching Hope: 39 Critically Endangered Burmese roofed turtles emerge from eggs
Yangon, Myanmar (June 15, 2017) –In a boost to their Critically Endangered species, 39  Burmese-roofed turtles have hatched in Limpha Village , Myanmar, report scientists from WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) and Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA). The news follows that of the recovery of 44 viable eggs in the wild reported by WCS on April 11, 2017.

 World’s Most Endangered Alligator Making a Comeback – in Shanghai
SHANGHAI (October 26, 2016) – WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) reports that eggs of critically endangered Chinese alligators discovered recently in a nest in a Shanghai wetland park have hatched and that baby alligators have been photographed and identified swimming in the area. The announcement signals a huge success for the species and for ongoing reintroduction efforts initiated by East China Normal University, Chongming Dongtan Wetland Park, and WCS with the help of U.S. zoos including WCS’s Bronx Zoo, and the Saint Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park.
