Fatal Attack on Eco-guard in DRC’s Okapi Wildlife Reserve (English and French)
It is with deep sorrow that the Okapi Wildlife Reserve (OWR) confirms the death of an eco-guard, following an attack by armed perpetrators on a team of eco-guards who were on a surveillance mission on June 27 in the vicinity of "Mondial," an illegal mining site established in the central sector of the Reserve.
